POST-EVENT LETTERS

From: Juan Luis Gutierrez Chico, Spain
Subject: You are the best!

Dear polish friends!:

Probably you have heard and read this thousands of times during last days, but I am here, back to the hard real world, with my mind full of those wonderful moments we have spent toghether in Warsaw, and you deserve once more a big: THANK YOU!

Warsaw has been a very special meeting, with a very special friendship ambience, and a very emotional involvement. That´s just because of you, because you did a great organizative work and made us feel as comfortable as at home. We are privileged people, as not everybody is able to enjoy such a wonderful event as we did one week ago.

Please, report my greetings to all those colleagues whose e-mail I don´t have available right now: Wojciech, Beata, Zbigniew, Katarzyna 1, Katarzyna 2, Marcin, etc.....

Remember that I shan´t forget you if you come to Spain without telling me, and I hope to meet you again very soon.

Juan Luis.

Dear Magda,
thank you for your message, and especially thank YOU for the great event you made possible. I've started to bore my friends and family here by telling them each day another story from Warszawa and again and again how fantastic the whole project was: "Yes, we know, dear" or "Haven't you told us before", that's what I get to hear from them more often now.
Anyway, Magda, I'm sure I can tell you once more (and again and again): You know how much I enjoyed it (and I bet the others, too), I had a fantastic time in Warszawa and I can't wait to see you and all the rest of you again in Riga! I'm longing already!
Thank you so much for the great job in organising you, Ela, Piotr, Marcin and all the unmentioned have done. And, what's maybe even more important than being successful and effective in the organisation is probably your kindness despite all the stress. Never (or really very, very seldomly) did anyone see a cranky, bad-mooded face in the committee. I really admire the way you all did your work. Great example to everyone else!!

Give my best regards to Marcin and Piotr, and especially Ela.

Thanks again for everything, Magda! Take care & see you again in Riga!

Cheerio, Ken

Hello, Magda!

I wanted to write to you to tell you some things which I couldn't after the concert. But I mean, I wasn't able to do everything in that hour with the state of mind in which I was at that time (the goodbye and why do I have to leave mode).

You probably heard this from lots of people, but once more won't do any harm:The meeting in Warsaw was really great. I think you, Ella and Piotr did a great job.Thank you very much. How did the concert turn out on the radio? I hope you are satisfied with it. I also didn't get the chance to tell you that I really enjoyed your company.

Like that time when we were singing in the storm under the umbrellas at night - I mean, it was something special. I hope we will have the chance to repeat that sometime - the storm and the cold can be left out,of course.

I am looking forward to the next time we meet. And I mean, I hope it is soon.

love, Ursa

Dear Magda, Ela and Piotr!

I just wanted to thank you so very much for the organization of the Warszawa EMSC-project!!

Really, for me it was something very special, the whole atmosphere, the perfect organization and for sure the concerts - which were (as usual) much better than expected... It was also great to see you again, and the other friends as well, I think from year to year the relationships among the "hard core" EMSC-members get closer, and I can just say that it is very important for me to have such friends. It was very moving to watch you 3 organizing everything, it seemed to me like your different personalities formed a perfect team, in which everyone was doing what he/she was best in.And (as I already said many times): you were always charmant and friendly, even when the pressure seemed very strong.

When I told Patric that he REALLY missed one of the best EMCS's and told him quite enthusiastic stories, he said something like "these eastern european EMSC's seem to be raelly something special".Well, surely true.He regreted not having participated (but it was really no way for him to do it). I wish you all the best and we will surely be hearing from each other !

Dear friends!

On the behalf of only myself I would like to give big kisses to you all polish people for making such a success!

First time ever I have experienced EMSC without organizing. It was such a plesure just to walk around and sing!!!

Also thanks for allowing me to participate despite my short rehearsal-time! I hope that sequence in Beethoven is OK on the recording..... You know: Seid um schlungen, MIIIIIIIIIIILLIOOOONEN!!!!

See you in Riga!

I miss you all, and have been humming the pieces we sang in Warsaw the whole week at the university.

Subject: Thanks is...

...a word too small for everything I'd like to express, but it's the only one that comes to my tongue. All together we made it possible, but you, all of you, made it so wonderful. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Magda, Ela, Piotr, Beata, Beata, Joanna, Kasia, Monika, Agata, Agnieszka,Pawel, Nikodem,Przemyslaw,Dorota,Darek (and all the rest )!

Every meeting is something special, that's why we keep it alive, but I must say, that yours was from all points of view one of the best ( if not THE BEST - don't ever tell Juan Luis that I've said that, :-))).
The organization was really perfect, you really made us feel like kings, inspite of all the hard work that all of us had to do. It was done with all our hearts.

There are many moments that I'll replay often in my mind as the greatest, but I'm sure that the top one will be:
standing (well, once it was sitting) on a shiny stage with all of you, singing "Alle Menschen werden Brueder".
We sang with words what we felt in our hearts, what all these meetings are about. Oh, Freude!

I hope to see you all soon, have the best time, you deserved it. EMSC's and yours faithfully,

Maja
P.S.And thanks again to everyone that helped me a lot when I injured my ankle. I was treated much nicer and more
considerately by you than I am at home, actually. Here I am just annoyingly slow, inefficient and noisy(BUM ta, BUM ta) trouble.

Czesc Magda, Ella and Piotr,

friendly greetings from Berlin :) After arriving I found some time to sleep. I hope you do not have to much work still after the concert. You did an excellent job and truly deserve to have some rest now. It really was a great time in Wawa and I hope that I will also find time to join the choir again in Riga... I forgot to take one of these posters of our concert. But as we will pass Warszawa on our way from Estonia to Slovenia I can pick one up then :) So, in the end I am wishing you some more relaxing time and better wheather than we have here (rain and grey clouds in Berlin...).

Yours europeanly,

Henrik
