APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR 2000/01Persons interested in medical studies in the capital of Poland can apply for admission to the Medical University of Warsaw. The 2nd Faculty of Medicine includes the English Division for foreign students. All courses are conducted in English.

ADMISSION
The documents must include a certification of the applicant's qualifications for the studies, i.e. High School Diploma containing the clause clearly stating the applicant's right to apply for admission to higher education institutions. In case there is no such a clause, the Diploma should be accompanied by a certification (stating the above mentioned right) issued by:
All photocopies must be certified copies of original documents.
- the high school itself
- the educational authorities of the country in which the diploma was issued
- an embassy or consulate of the Republic of Poland
If the documents are not written in English, they must be accompanied by translations (into English or Polish) certified by an approved institution (e.g. the issuing body or a sworn translator).The applicants are admitted on the basis of their results stated in the High School Diploma. A good grade in chemistry, biology and physics is required. Since there is no entrance examination to the English Division of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw, the continuation of the studies depends on the student’s results after the first year of studying.
Good knowledge of both written and spoken English is a prerequisite for admission. The applicants whose native language is not English should provide a certificate (FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL) or any other documentation of reasonable proficiency in the English language.

3. High School Diploma (as described above)
4. English language certificate
5. photocopy of the applicant's passport
6. health certificate
7. five passport photographs

TUITION FEE AND EXPENSES
Yearly costs of studying are as follows:1. The admission fee of USD 500.oo to be paid by August 31.The cost of tuition fee for the next year of study may be increased at a rate not higher than 5% per annum.
2. The tuition fee of USD 8,700.oo per annum to be paid by September 30.
3. The cost of books - about USD 500.oo.Approximate living expenses: 4,000 - 6,000 USD yearly.
